Here's the short and long of it. My wife had been sick since Monday and early Wednesday morning decided I had better bring her to the hospital because she thought she was in Labor. Dr examined her and told her is was false labor, but she had some sort of infection which was the reason she had been feeling sick the past few days. The Dr. decided to keep her overnight for observation and to provide her with some much needed fluids. I came home with Brenden (our 22 month old) around 10pm. I got a phone call at 12:15 this morning from my wife telling me that we were having the baby today. Talk about a wake-up call, literally speaking, since I had fallen asleep on the couch and was barely awake when I answered the phone. I packed up what I needed, and shipped my son off to my Aunt's (who lives on the way to the hospital) and promptly arrived at the hospital where they had all my hospital attire waiting for me. I got into the room at 1:00am and the baby was delivered at 1:24am, 5 weeks ahead of schedule, via C-Section.
Baby and mom are doing fine, but will remain in the hospital for 3 to 4 days for care and observation.
